Work That Fits Real Kitchens
We serve busy operators who need equipment that keeps working through breakfast rush, lunch prep and the supper trade. That means our people have to think clearly, work neatly and understand what matters on site. A prep table that is 1.8 metres long, a gas range that must be set up safely, or a servery counter that needs to suit a small takeaway all need proper attention. We hire people who understand that every millimetre counts and that a late job can stop a trading day.
Our base is in Benoni on the East Rand, and we work with customers across Boksburg, Brakpan, Springs, Kempton Park and Germiston, as well as national deliveries. The pace changes from workshop work to site measuring to customer support, so the team needs to be steady and practical. If you like solving real problems and seeing a job through, there is room here.
Roles We Commonly Hire For
We do not keep a fixed vacancy list on this page, but we often look for people with experience in fabrication, fitting, sales support and service. Some roles are workshop based, others are client facing, and some move between the two depending on the job. For the right person, there may also be scope to grow into project work or operations support.
- Stainless steel fabricators and workshop assistants
- Site measurers and installation support staff
- Sales and customer service staff
- Service technicians for equipment support and repairs
- Project coordinators and admin support
What We Look For In A Candidate
We value people who arrive on time, keep tools and work areas in order, and can speak plainly with clients, suppliers and fellow team members. A good attitude matters as much as experience. In our line of work, a person who can measure carefully, follow a drawing, and notice a faulty hinge before it leaves the workshop saves time and cost for everyone.
- Hands-on experience in stainless steel, fabrication, catering equipment or site work
- Basic understanding of measurements, tools and safe working practices
- Clear communication and a willingness to learn
- Ability to work under pressure when deadlines are tight
- Awareness of load-shedding, delivery timing and site access limits
We also appreciate people who understand that a site in central Johannesburg is not the same as a coastal fit-out in humid conditions, and that different kitchens need different finishes and layouts.
How To Send Your CV
If you want to be considered, email your CV to sales@caterkraftsa.co.za with the subject line Careers at CaterKraft. Please include your full name, the role or type of work you are interested in, your suburb or town, and a short note about your experience. If you have worked with prep tables, sinks, canopies, display units, counters or racking, mention that too.
We read applications carefully and keep details on file for future opportunities. If you are based in Benoni, Boksburg, Brakpan, Springs, Kempton Park or Germiston, say so in your message, and if you are prepared to travel for site work, mention that as well.
Why People Stay With A Practical Team
CaterKraft has grown through repeat work, referrals and steady delivery since 2016, so we value consistency. Our team includes Lerato Khumalo, Ayesha Naidoo, Pieter van der Merwe, Sibusiso Dlamini and Megan Jacobs, with each person focused on their part of the job. That makes the work clearer and the handover better for everyone, from the first enquiry to final delivery.
People tend to stay where the standards are clear and the work is useful. Here, you can expect proper measuring, decent communication and a strong focus on finish quality. We are not interested in busywork, only in getting the job done properly.
A Good Fit For Long Days And Busy Weeks
The catering trade does not stop because there is load-shedding, rain or a tight municipal deadline. Kitchens still need to open, equipment still needs to fit, and jobs still need to go out. That is why we look for people who stay calm, check their work and keep moving without fuss. If that sounds like you, send your CV through and tell us what kind of work you want to do.
- Workshop and fabrication work
- Customer support and sales follow-up
- Field measuring and installation support
- Service and repairs
We prefer people who can work with care, ask sensible questions and keep the client informed. That attitude goes a long way in our trade.
